One of the most interesting modes you can play in the call of duty warzone is its solo modes. Here, there’s no help from teammates; you are your own backup.
Players love the solo mode due to its difficulty and intensity; you need to have solid enough tactics to survive till the end of the game.
In the team mode, tactics may have a smaller bearing on the results if you have experienced teammates and can get powerful weapons. In the solo mode, however, tactics are everything. You will struggle to progress to the later stages of the game if you don’t have a good strategy.
The question now is what kind of strategy should you employ as a solo call of duty warzone player?
Which tactics will give you the best chance in a game with 149 other opponents? Well, maybe not a single tactic but a combination of different tactics during different stages of the game can help you win solo matches easily.
Weapons to Carry
The first decision you’ll probably have to make in solos is the weapons to carry, this will have a huge effect on whichever strategy you decide to use later in the game.
The best way to have all bases covered so you’re not cornered in any way during the game is to vary the weapon type you carry. In a warzone, you can only take two weapons so it is best to have two different types. A long-range sniper and an automatic gun able to do damage at a close distance are ideal.
The plan is to have weapons that can work across different distances while doing as much damage as possible.
Where to Land on the Map
At the start of the game, you’ll have to choose where you land on the map. This would be your first tactic decision. Do you take the safer approach and land on the edge of the map you jump right into the eye of the battle by landing on the centre of the map?
Either of these two locations will require a different strategy to progress to the end of the game. The edge of the map provides a calmer, maybe less risky approach at first. While the centre of the map allows you to flex your guns right from the start and get yourself going early in the game.
Should You Use a Vehicle or Not?
In a team warzone game, a vehicle can even put a target on your back, but in a solos game? You want to jump on one as soon as possible and not just on any, the truck is your best bet.
Using a truck is one of the surest strategies to use if you want to survive till the end of a solos warzone game. Getting into a truck early will give you so much advantage that some people feel the truck is overpowered and should be removed.
It is difficult to take out and you can go over close enemies to kill them instantly. You can also use it as cover when you want to use your sniper on enemies far away.
The truck can help you navigate till the endgame when most of the players have been eliminated.
What to do in the Endgame?
Warzone solos are won when one player is left standing, so being among the last group of players remaining although good progress, still doesn’t count.
You have to be the last player standing to win. But how do you do this? Most of the strategies that may have carried you this far wouldn’t be able to help anymore. Players are few and more careful, most of them have been able to pack so much ammunition during the game, and everybody is dangerous.
A decisive strategy to employ at this stage of the game is to take a vantage position on high ground. Somewhere you can have a wide view of the surroundings while being able to hide when you’re fired at.
Places like the top of tall buildings, mountains, and any high-rise structure with solid cover will serve you during this stage. You also want to have a sniper in your possession so you can pick out enemies from your vantage position.
Or you can just use cheats and hacks from BattleLog to beat your opponents and win the game. Whichever tactics you employ can take you one step closer to consistent warzone solos wins.
