How to shoot photographs using Canon EOS R viewfinder settings

Step 1. Flexibility with Auto Exposure

There is a new Fv (Flexible-priority AE mode) in Canon EOS R that photographers consider to be an incredibly useful and effective mixing and matching feature for auto and manual exposure settings. In the Flexible-priority AE exposure mode, the camera selects its own aperture, shutter speed and ISO when you take a shot using the Canon EOS R viewfinder settings. You can switch between choices, and you can manually switch any of those parameters without withdrawing your eye from the viewfinder.

Step 2. Image styling and advanced filters

Regardless of the focus of your imagery, the Canon EOS R shoots photographs of gratifying, natural-looking colors. For most test shots, we suggest you to use the Auto Picture Style, and it will work perfectly under most conditions. In addition, there are several other choices, including Normal, Portrait mode, Landscape mode, Fine Detail, Neutral filter, Faithful, and Monochrome, for taking stunning photos. Three of your own unique picture types may also be developed. This camera lets you preset style parameters such as sharpness, vibrancy, saturation, and color tone and customizes them. You may use the Artistic Assist function to fix contrast or add tones such as sepia, blue, etc. to your RAW images and save them as JPEGs if you wish to fine-tune your in-camera images after taking them.

Step 3. Using the AutoFocus (AF)

The Canon EOS R sensor has an innovative CMOS AF dual pixel system that selects 5655 specific points for quick and precise focus. For operating in impressively dark environments, this focusing device is adaptive, has a wide range, and its minimum value is EV -6. The AF system is a perfect fit for capturing UHD 4K film, along with the Canon EOS R viewfinder settings. In order to minimize camera jerk, the autofocus is often rounded out by Movie Optical IS, an optimized Canon Log gamma for a higher dynamic range and 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 output over HDMI for superior color control.

Step 4. Choice of lense

A pair of lenses comes with the Canon EOS R, but you can order the ones you need separately. It comes with a 24-105mm F4 L IS USM all-rounder lens, which is good for both portraits and landscapes. When you take a landscape or a portrait shot, the 24-105mm lens can capture accurate, sharp, and well-detailed photographs using the Canon EOS R viewfinder settings. In the images that are taken with this lens, several subtle features are noticeable. This lens has a strong focal range combined with the full-frame camera, important for shooting portraits. You can get a wide-angle view at 24mm, which is helpful for capturing classic landscapes. In the other side, you can use the telephoto range to a limit of 105 mm if you need a little extra zoom.
For a novel and advanced multimedia camera setup, the EOS R is combined with a redeveloped lens mount and a renovated full-frame image sensor.
