Error code 0x803F7001 is yet another error code that Windows 10 users have recently experienced. There are various failures that consumers go through, but the most irritating are activation errors.

If you update Windows 10 using a flash drive, this Activation Error Code 0x803F7001 on Windows 10 is activated. If you change your BIOS, this error will also occur.

There could also be a problem with Microsoft Activation Server and then you are seen that your windows are not allowed, in which case you can only wait and check whether it is the problem on the Microsoft side or the new improvements you have made to your PC.

Solving Error 0x803F7001 after upgrade to Windows 10

Let us now see how, by taking a few moves, you can fix this activation bug. There are 3 approaches that you can use to solve the dilemma right now.

Method 1: Entering the Keys

  • Go to Start > Configuration > Protection & Alerts > Activation > Change Product Key.
  • Now, enter the initial OS product key that you had before upgrading to Windows 10.
  • For example, if you had a genuine copy of Windows 8 with a Product Key, you upgraded your PC to Windows 10 to update Clean and get Error 0x803F7001, Error 0x803F7001,
  • Then navigate to Alter and Enter the Product Key. You can activate your Windows following the steps above but you can’t function at all times. Method 2 review.

Method 2: Activating Windows 10 using Phone

This approach allows you to use the toll free number on your phone to dial it. One Microsoft Support Engineer shares the process.
Step 1: To open Run Command, keep keeping the Windows key, and press the R key.

Step 2: In the Run windows, type Slui 4 that pops up and press Enter.

Step 3: You will need to pick your country/region next so do so and press Next.

Step 4: Use your phone now and dial the number to get the confirmation ID. You will be greeted with the Toll Free number.

Step 5: Once you get the numbers for the confirmation ID, enter them exactly the way they are given in the A to H sector.

Step 6: Press Trigger now and that’s it!!!

If this method fails to fix Windows 10 Activation Error 0x803F7001, then the third and last method I mention below should function for you.

Nothing Helped eh?

If the above measures do not benefit you, then you need to search and scan your PC for compromised system files or some minor problem with Complete System Care registry corruption. Scanning for this software will let you know about your PC’s issues that could prove to be the culprits in your situation.

Method 3: Follow the Cycle again

This approach allows you to follow the Windows 7/8 or 8.1 update loop with any OS you have with the Product Key.

Then, uninstall the Windows Media Development programme and use the “Upgrade this PC” feature to upgrade your PC to Windows 10 from your currently installed OS. You can find more detail about how to use this tool on Microsoft’s official blog.

If all goes well, then you should be able to update smoothly to Windows 10. Now if you don’t feel like updating and want to clean up Windows 10 using Flash Drive, feel free to do so now.

I hope some of the methods mentioned above will work to correct 0x803F7001 Activation Error. If you have some other way to address the problem, then feel free to share it with us in the below comment box.
