If you have used Netflix before, you might have encountered several errors. Most errors you see are caused by hardware, software, or network problem.
The service might also be experiencing technical difficulties. The Netflix error NW-6 is a common one. Why is this common?
An error code beginning with NW always indicates a network problem. Two common codes, NW-1-19 or NW-2-5, are examples of network issues.

The problem could be caused by a network configuration issue. Your device may not be connecting to the network properly.
This will cause the Netflix service to be unavailable and the error.
How to fix error N-3-6 on Netflix
Follow these steps to fix Netflix error NW-6:
1. Start your home network
NW-3-6 error occurs on Smart TV. Unplug all of your home network equipment and wait for 30 seconds, then plug in each device one by one.
Then, turn on your Smart TV and try again. These steps should resolve the issue and allow you to continue to enjoy the service.
2. Restore your network connection settings to default
This assumes you are using custom connections, a VPN, or a proxy. If this is the case, you can restore your internet settings to their default settings.
You should unplug any VPN or proxy server that you use to connect to the internet. Your device may be connecting to a Netflix server that Netflix doesn’t recognize.
3. Connect your device to your modem directly
If you connect to the service via a wireless router, a network problem could occur. You can bypass this step by connecting directly to the modem via an Ethernet cable.
Follow these steps.
- Unplug your device (Smart TV, Roku, Xbox, PlayStation, etc.) Turn off the power source.
- Use an Ethernet cable to connect the device directly to the modem.
- For 30 seconds, unplug the modem power source.
- Connect the modem again and wait for the indicator lights to stop blinking.
- Connect your device to Netflix and plug it in
You may notice Netflix is experiencing an error after applying the above fixes. Contact your service provider to make sure your internet service or modem works as it should.
Netflix error NW-3-6 can be caused by either an issue with internet connectivity or network configuration. The problem could also be caused by a VPN connection or proxy server.
If this happens, you can disconnect them and then reset your network settings to default. You will need to wait for your service provider to fix the issue if there is an outage.
