apple tv keeps pausing – Before We Get Into The Topic , let’s Learn Some Basic Of This Topic
Apple TV 4 users may occasionally be faced with a frozen or unresponsive device. This article will explain how to fix an Apple TV set.
Apple TV 4 is a relatively new device that runs a newly developed OS, TVOS. Apple’s declining quality has led to a substandard user experience.
I am pleased with the new Apple TV. It is a vast improvement from my previous Apple TV 2. The TV rebooted itself several times per evening, often in the middle of a video. Both models of Apple TV are, I have to say, the worst tech products that I have ever owned. They’re not the standard one would expect with Apple products. My Apple TV is a great entertainment device. It can provide hours of uninterrupted entertainment. I rarely experience more than one problem per day.
The new Apple TV 4 has a few flaws. It can sometimes freeze and require that the user restart it. Users can’t navigate to the Settings screen to restart a frozen Apple TV. Apple provides instructions on how to restart Apple TV even if it is completely frozen.
Force Apple TV 4 Restart
You can use the Siri remote to force Apple TV’s restart even if it is frozen. For approximately 6 seconds, hold down the Menu (TV screen) button. Your Apple TV base unit’s front light will flash rapidly. Your Apple TV will start to turn on when you release the controls. The process takes around 30 seconds. If you are running tvOS 9,2 you will need to wait longer. After restarting Apple TV, the screen in your house could freeze.
Fix Frozen Home Screen After Restarting
The defect introduced by tvOS 9.2 is that the screen of your house will freeze after an Apple TV restarts. This is usually easily fixed. After waiting a while, click on the touchpad of the Siri remote. Now you should be able to navigate your house screen and use the Apple TV.
Disable Automatic Updates on tvOS
Each new release of tvOS seems to introduce more problems. Apple does fix some issues, but they make it quieter when the right problems are identified. This was also true for my Apple TV 2. Apple’s products started to lose quality around 2014. This was after something happened at Apple.
You don’t have to update to the latest version of tvOS every day. It’s better to stick with what you know and do your research. Before upgrading to tvOS 9.2, I did some research. But, no one was writing about these issues. Tech writers were reciting the keynote. The Apple Support Forum is that the best place to research the standard of any Apple release.
tvOS is about for an automatic update by default. This should be turned off. You can close automatic tvOS system upgrades by going to Settings > System > Updates. The Software Updates screen should now appear. Close Automatically Update. You can manually update Apple TV using the Software Updates screen.
